Boca Raton, FL- When it comes to rivalries the one between The American Basketball Association Palm Beach Imperials and The Jacksonville Jam rank amongst the top in the ABA. The Jam currently seem to have The Imperials number as they came out victorious 102-90 on January 17, 2007 at The FAU Gym.
Fans witnessed a see-saw battle between these rivals that saw 14 lead changes, 3 specular slams by Bobby Brown, 20 points from The Imperials Carl Jenkins, 19 points from The Imperials Anthony Hatcher and a double double from former Imperials player Nick Wallery.
With 3:51 left in the final quarter The Imperials were down 87-80 and began to climb back and tie the score at 90-90 with over 2 minutes left when Jacksonville seemed to turn it up a notch and show why they are the #5 ranked team in The ABA. The Imperials would make a valiant attempt to come back however on this night the ball didn't bounce the Imperials way and they were defeated.
The Imperials next play on Thursday Night as they face The Orlando Aces with hopes of getting back to their winning ways.
