Tri-City Storm News Release

KEARNEY, NE. - Tri-City Storm goaltender Arsenii Sergeev has been named the USHL's Goaltender of the Week for the fourth time in the 2021-2022 season following the Storm's back-to-back road games against the Chicago Steel last weekend. Sergeev posted his league-leading sixth shutout of the season in the Storm's 5-0 shutout over the Steel on Saturday night. Sergeev leads the USHL in every major goaltending statistic and has been named the league's Goaltender of the Week more than any other goaltender this season.

Arsenii Sergeev, 19, of Yaroslavl, Russia, posted a 1-0-1-0 record last weekend in Tri-City's road series against the defending Clark Cup Champion Chicago Steel. Sergeev stopped all 21 of Chicago's shots on net in Saturday's 5-0 victory. Sergeev made 19 saves on 23 shots in the Storm's 4-3 overtime loss on Sunday afternoon. He finished the weekend with a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 1.95, and a Save Percentage (SV%) of .909%. Sergeev's season record of 23-3-1-0 is currently the best in the USHL. He leads the league with a GAA of 1.58 and SV% of .934. Sergeev previously announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future at the University of Connecticut. He was selected 205th overall in the 7th Round of the 2021 NHL Draft by the Calgary Flames.

"The team played well in front of me this weekend and that allowed me to have success in net. I was able to do my job and stop pucks. It is an honor to receive this award for the fourth time this year." - Goaltender Arsenii Sergeev

"Arsenii's continued success this season comes as no surprise to the people around him. His work ethic day in and day out is infectious throughout the rest of the team and makes everyone around him better." - Goaltending Coach Matt Zaba
