Arsenal Visit To Accaciawood High School

May 6, 2008 - NBA G League (G League)
Anaheim Arsenal News Release

Anaheim, Calif. - Arsenal Head Coach Reggie Geary took time in the D-League off season to talk to students of Accaciawood High School about the importance of perseverance, character, and education.

Geary spoke about the obstacles he encountered while trying to achieve his goal of playing in the NBA and how he used positive thinking to help him get through trying situations. He also emphasized the importance of protecting one's name. "Remember you have to protect your name," he told the students, "people will judge you based on what other people say about you. So make sure you are a good person so that people will only have positive things to say about your character."

The students then shared their educational goals with Coach Geary, who had one last important piece of advice before concluding the visit, "If you aim for the moon, you will land on the stars. You may not achieve your ultimate goal, but if you go after it, at least you will have achieved many things along the path."
