SPRINGFIELD, MA MAR. 17, 2011 ¬"The Springfield Armor announced today that the team ¬â¢s game at Fort Wayne on Sat. March 19th will be nationally televised on VERSUS. The game, which will be the Armor ¬â¢s first-ever appearance on national television, will be re-aired on VERSUS at 11:00 p.m. EDT.
¬ÅWe ¬â¢re excited to be playing in a nationally televised game, ¬Â Armor head coach Dee Brown said. ¬ÅOur guys have worked hard all year and it ¬â¢s great to see them get some additional exposure. ¬Â
Veteran broadcaster, Ron Thulin, who has called NBA games for TNT and NCAA Football games for TBS, will be handling play-by-play duties for the game, while former Iowa Hawkeye, Kenyon Murray, will serve as an analyst.
The Armor will follow up their road trip to Fort Wayne by traveling to Sioux Falls for a pair of games with the Skyforce on Sunday and Tuesday. The Armor will then return home for their final home game of the 2010-11 regular season on Sat. March 26th at 8:00 p.m. against the New Mexico Thunderbirds.
