Springfield Armor News Release

SPRINGFIELD, MA- The Springfield Armor announced today that they have acquired a second round pick in the 2012 NBA Development League Draft in a three-team trade with the Austin Toros and Dakota Wizards.

The Armor sent the rights to veteran forward Josh Davis, whom the team acquired earlier today from the NBA D-League's available player pool, to Austin, who shipped Leo Lyons to Dakota. Dakota dealt its second round pick in the 2012 draft to the Armor to complete the trade.

The Armor return to action for back-to-back games at the end of this week, hosting the Canton Charge and recent NBA assignees Christian Eyenga and Luke Harangody on Thursday before the defending NBA D-League champion Iowa Energy return to Springfield on Friday. Both games are scheduled to tipoff at 7:00 PM. Friday's game will be the Armor's annual 'Celebrate Springfield Night', presented by Gary Rome Hyundai. The Armor will be highlighting a variety of Springfield-area businesses, celebrating the city's rich history, as well as unveiling some special promotions throughout the course of the evening.
