Armor Activate Guard/Forward Quinn McDowell

Springfield Armor News Release


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield Armor (0-5) have activated guard/forward Quinn McDowell and deactivated guard/forward Adonis Thomas due to injury.

McDowell, 23, had seen action in each of the first three games this season with Springfield, including playing 10 minutes and scoring his first two points of the season in his last game against Canton (November 30). He was deactivated on Friday, December 6 prior to the game against the Idaho Stampede when the Armor activated forward Marcus Hubbard.

Thomas, 20, appeared in all five games, making two starts, before being sidelined with an injury. The 6-6 guard/forward was averaging 9.0 points per game and 2.0 rebounds per game this season. After scoring a combined 10 points over the first two games of the season, Thomas was averaging 11.7 points per game over his last three contests which included a season-high 15 points against Idaho on Friday night. Thomas started the last two games before being injured. He was signed by the Brooklyn Nets on October 18, 2013 and assigned to the Armor as an affiliate player on October 31, 2013.

McDowell will wear #14.

The Armor will return to action Friday night at 7:00 p.m. when they travel to Maine for the second of three straight meetings between the two teams. Springfield will then return home Saturday, December 14 to host the Red Claws, NBA Development League affiliate of the Boston Celtics, at 7:00 p.m. inside the MassMutual Center.
