Reno Silver Sox News Release

Playing a neck and neck game with the Long Beach Armada, the Silver Sox just couldn?t seem to take the lead as they lost their fourth consecutive home game 6-3. Starting pitcher Marc Kaiser took the loss going 1-2 on the season.

Scoring two runs in the fourth the Armada took a two nothing lead but the Sox responded when OF Juan Cenreiso doubled to knock in 3B John Hattig. Remaining scoreless until the seventh inning the Armada put up one more but the points didn?t start racking up until the ninth inning.

Armada hitters took advantage of RP Paul Wilson when they scored three more runs off him in the ninth. The Silver Sox weren?t finished however as they rallied at the bottom of the ninth to bring in two more runs on RBI singles by 2B Ryan Brown and SS Andre Alvarado. It wasn?t enough though as the Silver Sox fell to 1-8 on the season.

Tomorrow the Silver Sox conclude the series with the Armada at 7 P.M. at Peccole Park in Reno. Also remember Saturday June 7 is St Mary?s T-Shirt night and the game will be concluded with a fireworks display.
