WENATCHEE, Wash. - The Wenatchee Wild Foundation, the non-profit arm of the Wenatchee Wild, is pleased to announce that Armada Corp. will serve as the sponsor for its end of year awards banquet.
Established in 2009, the Wenatchee Wild Foundation primarily exists to provide partial scholarships for Wild alumni who pursue undergraduate degrees at accredited colleges and to provide a safety net for injured Wild players whose medical bills exceed the coverage limits of personal insurance and insurance provided through USA Hockey.
"We are partnering with the Wild because they are a positive asset for the community, the valley and the region," Armada Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Albert Rookard said. "Furthermore, the work the Wild have done from a charitable standpoint has been great. Because of that, we are happy to partner with the Wild for this event."
Rookard and Armada Corp. President and Chief Executive Officer Tim Carson are no strangers to Wenatchee Wild hockey. Both are avid fans, and Carson has opened his home to players as a Billet family.
"We know first-hand the quality of the kids that play for the Wild," Carson said.
Armada is a regional financial firm with more than 75 years of leadership in the debt collection industry. The firm is comprised of six offices in Washington and Nevada that are licensed in four western states.
"The Wenatchee Wild Foundation is proud to have Armada Corp. as its banquet sponsor," said Wenatchee Wild President and Managing Partner, Bill Stewart. "Armada values community involvement, which is one criterion the foundation considers when awarding partial scholarships."
This year's banquet will be held at the Town Toyota Center from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, April 1. Player contributions to the community will be highlighted during the banquet and awards will be distributed. Tickets for the banquet, which are on sale for $25 apiece, can be purchased at the Wild office at the Town Toyota Center or by calling 509-888-PUCK (7825).
