Austin Bruins News Release
The Austin Bruins wrapped up action this weekend at the Onalaska Omni Center to battle the Coulee Region Chill of the Midwest division. CJ Smith started the scoring off of a Chill turnover, assisting was Johnny Simonson. The Austin Bruins outshot the Chill 14-13. The second period Austin's Johnny Simonson added his 16th goal of the season assisting was CJ Smith. The Chills scored 2 unanswered goals in the second period. At the end of two periods of play the score was tied 2-2. The third period Coulee added their third and fourth unanswered goals. Johnny Simonson scored his second of the night making it a one goal game. The Chill answered back with an empty net to win 5-3.
