
Arizona United Soccer Club Adds Top on Loan

PEORIA, Ariz. (Wednesday, April 9th, 2014) - USL PRO's Arizona United Soccer Club (Arizona United SC) - Arizona's only professional soccer team playing in the USL PRO league - is proud to announce that the club will receive forward Jonathan Top on loan from FC Dallas for the 2014 USL PRO season, pending league and USSF approval. The loan to Arizona United is effective for the entire 2014 season with FC Dallas having the right to recall Top at any time.
Top, 21, signed with FC Dallas on January 21, 2011, becoming their firth Homegrown player. The Fort Worth, Texas native made his professional debut on April 25, 2013, and has scored one goal and notched one assist in 101 minutes of action with the first team. Top has scored three goals and amassed over 1,700 minutes with the FC Dallas Reserves since 2011.
Top has represented the United States at the U-19, U-20 National Team levels and helped the FC Dallas United States Development Academy Team defeat the Vancouver Whitecaps in the U-18 Development Academy Championship in July 22, 2012.
With the acquisition of Top, Arizona United SC now have 13 players on the roster for the upcoming season. Earlier this week Arizona United SC announced the signings of goalkeeper Michael D'Arrigo and Evan Newton, defenders London Woodberry, Daniel Antúnez and Scott Morrison, midfielders Charles Renken, Matt Kassel and Widner Saint Cyr, and forwards Bradlee Baladez, Brad Stisser, Brandon Swartzendruber and Kadeem Dacres.
Arizona United SC will make its inaugural USL PRO debut at home on Saturday, April 12th at the Peoria Sports Complex against the expansion Oklahoma City Energy. Gates to Peoria Sports Complex will open at 5:30 p.m. with the match slated to kick off at 7:00 p.m.
