PEORIA, Arizona - Both Arizona United Soccer Club and Sacramento Republic FC came into tonight's match with unbeaten streaks on the line. They both walked away with their streaks intact following a 1-1 draw.

"I thought we played well enough to win the game, but they are a good side so they kept going and they got something out of it at the end," said Arizona United head coach Frank Yallop. "So I am disappointed we didn't get three points tonight."

United's lone goal game in the 54th minute. Following a defensive clearance, defender Peter Kelly lobbed a right-to-left pass to Tyler Blackwood. The forward bought the ball down with his right foot, then cut back inside and fired a shot past the goalkeeper to make it 1-0.

It was Blackwood's third goal in as many matches.

"It is always nice to be in form," Blackwood said. "It's bittersweet because of that last goal. It is always good to be scoring but I'd rather be winning games."

Sacramento Republic FC equalized in the 90th minute. Mackenzie Pridlam, who came into the match as a sub in the second half, broke free from his defender and got on the receiving end of a pass lobbed into the box. He headed the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-1.

"I think we have to, as a team, not just specifically me or a defender or a forward, we just got to figure out a way to go up two goals so even if we do happen to let one in late like that, we got the three points either way," said Arizona United goalkeeper Jordan Stagmiller. "It's just rough to give up a goal that late, and hopefully we'll learn from it."

Added Yallop: "We'll just get the guys regrouped and get ready for the next game. We've done well in the last four games. Two wins and two ties. It could have been three but you can't dwell on it. You've just got to look to the next game"

Arizona United extends its unbeaten streak to four matches and is now 4-5-5. Sacramento's unbeaten streak is now eight matches and the team is 7-3-4. Arizona United's next match is next Friday, July 1st, when the club travels to Tulsa to take on Tulsa Roughnecks FC. Kickoff will be at 5:30 P.M.
