Edinburg, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley FC Toros (6-5-5) were defeated by Orange County Blues FC (6-6-3) 1-2 at home. Kyle Murphy scored for Rio Grande Valley Toros and Didier Crettenand had a brace for Orange County Blues FC.

RGV almost got ahead in the fifth minute. Toros' Kyle Murphy was one-on-one against Blues' goalkeeper, Joshua Cohen, on a through ball but his shot was saved. The Toros were forced to use an early substitution when Eric Bird had to be replaced due to injury. Robert Casner replaced him on the pitch. Murphy almost put the Toros ahead in the 37th, once again on a through ball but his shot went wide. Rio Grande Valley scored in the 38th minute. Blues' Cohen miscalculated a weird bounce on a Kai Greene cross which left the ball in front of Murphy who only had to tap the ball in. Didier Crettenand leveled the game in the 44th minute after capitalizing from the penalty spot.

The game remained stagnant throughout the second half until the late minutes of the half. The Toros pressured and almost found the goal in the last minutes. In the 88th minute, Toros' Kevin Garcia had a header in a corner but it was saved by the goalie. Ivan Magalhaes from the Toros committed a foul in stoppage time. The Toros will travel to face Oklahoma City Energy FC at Taft Stadium on Saturday, July 2nd. That game will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Orange County Blues FC will continue on the road and face Los Angeles Galaxy II on July 2nd as well.
