
Arizona United Adds Robinson on Loan

PEORIA, Ariz. (Friday,May 9, 2014) -- Arizona United Soccer Clubhas receiveddefenderJalen Robinsonon loan fromD.C. Unitedof Major League Soccer for the 2014 USL PRO season, pending league and USSF approval. D.C. has the right to recall Robinson at any time.
Robinson, 19, signed with D.C. United on Jan. 6, becoming the club's seventh Homegrown player. TheCatonsville, Md., native was loaned out to the Richmond Kickers of USL PRO before the 2014 season. He made his professional debut April 26 when he was brought on as a second-half substitute in the Kickers' victory against the Dayton Dutch Lions.
Robinsonplayedcollegiately atWake Forest from 2012-13, appearing in 37 matches with three goals and one assist. In his final season he was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Second Team and All-South Region Second Team.
A constant presence on national age-group teams, Robinson has represented the United States at the U-15, U-17, U-18 and U-20 levels and helped the U-18s to a third-place finish in the 2011 Northern Ireland Milk Cup. Robinson played for D.C. United United States Soccer Development Academy from 2009-12 and was named to the 2009-10 USSDA U-15/16 Starting XI and the 2010-11 East Conference U-15/16 Starting XI.
