LA Galaxy II Head East to Take on Dayton Dutch Lions

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, May 9, 2014) - LA Galaxy II (5-1-2, 17 points) hit the road to take on Dayton Dutch Lions (2-3-1, 7 points) in USL PRO Week 8 at DOC Stadium in West Carrollton, Ohio on Saturday, May 10 at 4:00 p.m. PT. All of the action will be streamed live via LAGalaxy.com.

Dayton are currently tied in seventh place in the USL PRO standings. The Lions enter the match after dropping a 2-0 road defeat to the Charleston Battery at Beavercreek High School on Sunday, May 4. The match will be Dayton's first home match this season at the club's new soccer complex.

Led by Dutch head coach Sid Van Druenen, the Dayton Dutch Lions feature players such as FC Barcelona's La Masia product Jessua Andrea Angoy Cruyff, the grandson of international soccer legend Johan Cruyff.

Los Dos' clash against the Lions on Saturday will mark the first time these two teams have met, and the first of two matches that the clubs will play against each other in the 2014 USL PRO regular season.

Following the match against Dayton, Galaxy II return home on May 14 when they host Cal FC in the U.S. Open Cup at the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium. Tickets are just $5 to see Galaxy II in their first quest for the U.S. Open Cup. LA Galaxy II extended their unbeaten run to four games with a 2-1 victory over the Charlotte Eagles last Monday night at the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium. Galaxy II forwards Charlie Rugg and Chandler Hoffman scored for Los Dos and Jorge Herrera scored the lone goal of the evening for the visitors. With the victory, Galaxy II moved back into a tie for first place in USL PRO with defending champions Orlando City SC, accumulating with 17 points on the season after eight games.
