Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers announce that tickets will be distributed to local foster and kinship families through the Arizona Blue Ribbon Coalition. The tickets will be for the Rattlers upcoming home game on July 26 at 3 p.m. against the Los Angeles KISS at US Airways Center.

"Ron Shurts has always been an advocate for giving back to our community," said Rattlers president, Chris Presson. "We have had an overwhelming response and are happy to know we can help make a positive difference in the lives of foster families. For some foster kids it will be their first time watching a pro sporting event at US Airways Center."

The Arizona Blue Ribbon Coalition is a collaboration led by Hope & A Future, the KIDS Consortium, the Governor's Office of Faith and Community Partnerships and the Arizona Department of Child Safety. In an effort to spread awareness about the greater need for foster care and to show respect for existing families with children in their care, the players will be sporting blue ribbons on their helmets during the game.

"Community organizations are an essential component in caring for Arizona's most vulnerable children. On behalf of the Arizona Blue Ribbon Coalition, I'd like to thank the Arizona Rattlers and Hope & A Future for their support of foster and kinship families and the children in their care," said Chuck Fitzgerald, Director of the Governor's Office of Faith and Community Partnerships.

The donation will allow the Rattlers to distribute tickets to foster care children and their families in the area. In order to receive tickets, families must register online at arizonablueribbon.org. The Arizona Rattlers continue to work with various non-profit organizations throughout the Valley donating their time to help community members in need as part of their community outreach campaign.
