Everett AquaSox News Release
VANCOUVER, Canada - Carlos Hernandez, Cody Mobley and A.J. Franks combined on a five-hit shutout as the Everett AquaSox won their fourth straight game, 1-0, over the Vancouver Canadians in front of another capacity crowd of 6,413 at Nat Bailey Stadium.
The only run of the game came on Geoandry Montilla's solo home run, which came with one out in the second inning.
Hernandez (1-1) recovered from a tough outing last Saturday when he lasted just 1/3 of an inning and allowed seven earned runs. On Thursday in Vancouver, he blanked the Canadians for six innings and scattered four hits. He walked one and struck out two while throwing 65 pitches.
Cody Mobley held the slim lead with two perfect innings in the seventh and eighth. Newly acquired A.J. Franks worked a scoreless ninth for his first save.
