Orlando Predators News Release

ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 3) -- Prominent Central Florida businessman Anthony J. Nicholson has purchased a percentage of the Orlando Predators Arena Football League team. He joins an elite group of Central Florida business executives that have bought into the team since November.

As President of Nicholson Homes, he has grown his company into one of the largest builders of single-family homes in the state of Florida. Founded in 1994, his company quickly established a reputation for quality and value based on his own business philosophies.

After graduating from Tulane University, Mr. Nicholson soon after planted roots in Central Florida. For the better part of thirty years, his entrepreneurial ventures have invested in the successful growth of the Central Florida business community.

Beyond the boardroom, his involvement with the University of Central Florida continues to grow. By establishing the UCF Nicholson School of Communications in 1995, Mr. Nicholson began his proud involvement with a flourishing university. Having served as Chief of the Development Committee and on the Board of Trustees, he continues to serve as a member of the UCF Athletic Association and the UCF Foundation Board of Directors. His support of UCF Athletics has recently led to the donation of Nicholson Field, which serves as a practice facility for the UCF football team. Mr. Nicholson continues to support the School of Communications through scholarships and support to the Quotes Advertising and Public Relations Club.

His humanitarian efforts extend to other parts of the Central Florida community. His donations have led to the construction of aquariums in numerous Florida Hospital locations around the area. The Coalition for the Homeless, Central Florida's Children's Home, the Shrine Circus, and Kissimmee Little League have also benefited from his support.

"It is my hope that my involvement in the Predators will further enhance their status both within the community as well as with such a formidable national sports league," Mr. Nicholson said. Mr. Nicholson went on to note "The proven success of AFL players in the NFL solidifies my belief that what we have in the Orlando Predators is part of a sport and league that will continue to flourish in the future."

"The addition of Anthony Nicholson will elevate an already impressive list of Orlando Predators local ownership," Team President Brett Bouchy said. "Mr. Nicholson has been an extremely active and successful member of the Central Florida business community for many years and we will rely on his expertise to help guide this franchise in the coming months and years."
