
Detroit Fury Announce Broadcast Schedule

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -The Detroit Fury of the Arena Football League (AFL) announced their TV and radio broadcast schedule for the 2004 season. This year marks the second season that the AFL will be broadcast nationally on NBC, and the Fury are scheduled to be featured four times nationally on NBC. The Fury will also have games televised on Fox Sports Net Detroit, Comcast and the Bright House Network.

Television commentators Mark Champion and Jim Brandstatter will return for another season in the broadcast booth for the local Fox Sports Net and Comcast telecasts.
"This broadcast schedule, in addition to the Fury appearances on national television, gives our team maximum exposure this season," said Senior Vice President of Broadcasting and Multimedia Pete Skorich. "We are extremely pleased to have Mark and Jim back for another year to offer viewers expert analysis and insight."
All Fury games will be broadcast on the radio this season, with WDFN (1130 AM) and WXDX (1310 AM) splitting the duties. Fred McLeod, WDIV-TV4 weekend sports anchor, will join the Fury for his first season as the play-by-play commentator, and Rob Rubick, a former Detroit Lions tight end, will join McLeod as the color analyst.
