Boston Lobsters News Release

Former No. 15 player in the world, Robby Ginepri, has been added to the Boston Lobsters' roster for the first two home matches of the 2012 season.

Ginepri, a 29-year-old Fort Lauderdale native, will be in for the season-opener against the Sacramento Capitals on July 9 and then again against the Washington Kastles on July 13. Both matches will be played at the Joan Norton Stadium located at the Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton, Mass.

"I am looking forward to joining Coach (Bud) Schultz and the entire Lobsters team in Boston this summer. Playing World TeamTennis the week before I start my U.S. hardcourt season will provide great preparation in one of the best cities in the States," said Robby Ginepri.

In 2005, Ginepri made it to the U.S. Open semifinals before falling in five sets to Andre Agassi, rising to as high as No. 15 in the world.

Ginepri joins teammates Jan-Michael Gambill, Eric Butorac, Irina Falconi and Carly Gullickson. Marquee player John Isner will also be in for the final home match of the season against Philadelphia Freedoms on July 23.

"I'm really looking forward to be playing on the Lobsters team," Ginepri said. "Team tennis is a unique format and I can't wait to feel the energy from the Boston fans!"
