Angels Recall Morales, Morrissey Joins Bees

SALT LAKE CITY - The Los Angeles Angels announced today that the club has recalled infielder Kendry Morales. To replace Morales, the Salt Lake Bees have recalled infielder Adam Morrissey to triple-A Salt Lake from Arkansas.

Morales, 25, hit .297 with seven doubles, five home runs and 31 RBI in 30 games for the Bees in 2008. This is his second stint of the season with the Angels. Originally signed by the Angels in 2004, the Cuban native hit .294 with four home runs and 15 RBI in 43 games for the Angels in 2007.

Morrissey, 26, hit .289 with five doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI in 25 games for the Travelers this season. Originally signed by the Chicago Cubs in 1999, the Gosford, Australia native signed as a free agent with the Angels prior to the 2007 season.
