Angel City FC News Release
LOS ANGELES - Today, Angel City Football Club (ACFC) welcomed ComfyGO, Inc as a team-level mobility partner. Through the partnership, ComfyGO will provide any needed mobility products to ACFC's sports science staff to help players through any injuries they sustain. They will also supply co-branded e-bikes through ComfyGO's sister brand, GOBIKE, to players, coaching staff, and the Angel City Street Team to use and showcase at community events.
As part of the ACFC Sponsorship Model, in which 10% of the value of each partnership is reallocated to make a positive impact, ComfyGO's fund will be allocated to the Player 22 Future Program designed to create pathways for former NWSL players interested in pursuing a career in sports. Whether it be in coaching, refereeing, media, or the front office, the goal is to help prepare players for the workforce after their professional soccer career.
ComfyGO will be making co-branded Angel City e-bikes available to fans on the GOBIKE website and for purchase at Fan Fests throughout the season. ComfyGO will also be giving fans the chance to win a new Angel City-branded e-bike, tickets to a match, and other prizes through a sweepstake opportunity.
"At Angel City, we are perpetually looking for allies to ensure our mission of equity is met," said Jess Smith, head of revenue at ACFC. "ComfyGO shares our passion with their commitment to the Player 22 Future Program and partnership to support former NWSL players in their career ambitions."
"We are so excited about this partnership with ACFC, as we are both young and dynamic organizations that seek to be the best at what we set out to achieve," said Joseph Esparza, chief executive officer of ComfyGO, Inc. "We are also honored to be able to support the club's Player 22 Future Fund. The give back model was a critical factor in this partnership, as we believe that female athletes should be given the same support, recognition, and opportunities as all other team sports or individual athletes."
