LOS ANGELES - LA's newest professional soccer team, Angel City Football Club (ACFC), today announced the launch of the "ACFC Inaugural Fan Pass Collection" in partnership with club founding partner Crypto.com, the world's fastest-growing cryptocurrency platform.

To celebrate the first time the team takes the pitch, ACFC is providing fans the opportunity to obtain commemorative NFTs from 8 am PST on April 29 through 9pm PST on May 5 to coincide with the club's first game.

Fans who are existing users of the Crypto.com NFT Marketplace or who sign up for the Crypto.com NFT Marketplace at crypto.com/nft/register during the exclusive sign up window will receive one of the first two NFTs from the collection:

One of an unlimited amount of "Kickoff NFTs," a digital, stylized ACFC soccer ball with the ACFC crest floating within, or

The rare "Sol Rosa Kickoff NFTs," have the same design as the Kickoff NFT but are washed over with ACFC's signature Sol Rosa color. Only 22 Sol Rosa Kickoff NFTs will be available, and will be gifted at random to 22 lucky fans.

"We created this NFT collection to commemorate the kickoff of our first season and to use our platform to bring as many ACFC fans as possible into the exciting world of Web3, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs," said Julie Uhrman, Co-Founder and President, Angel City Football Club. "We believe that ownership is a core tenet of Web3 and why NFTs are so powerful. Upon claiming the NFTs, our fans will own a piece of the team's history and come on the journey alongside us. This is only the beginning!"

The number of rare Sol Rosa Kickoff NFTs, 22, was chosen to pay homage to the team's first season in 2022, its home stadium's (Banc of California Stadium) capacity of 22,000, and its Player 22 Future Program that provides grants to retired NWSL players starting new careers in sports. ACFC will be donating to the Player 22 Fund at the conclusion of the redemption period to coincide with the number of NFTs claimed.

Once redeemed, the team will communicate directly with the NFT holders to share access to exclusive digital items and invitations to virtual and physical events throughout the season.

"We are incredibly excited to help kick off and celebrate the start of ACFC's inaugural season," said Steven Kalifowitz, Chief Marketing Officer, Crypto.com. "Providing fans more ways to support and engage with their favorite team is central to our relationship with ACFC, and we look forward to continuing to build on this initiative."

As part of their multi-year agreement, ACFC and Crypto.com will host live and virtual events to educate the community on the development of Web3, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and all other activities in this space. Details of the sessions will be posted on ACFC's social channels @weareangelcity. The ultimate goal of the programming is to help ensure everyone feels welcome, well-versed, and part of the Web3 and ACFC communities and can leverage the learnings to make informed decisions about their involvement in the evolving category.
