Arkansas Twisters Head Coach Gary Anderson has been named one of nine former Razorback greats to be inducted into the University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor as a member of the class of 2003.

"I'm thrilled just to be mentioned in the same class as all the Razorbacks already in the Hall" said Anderson. "To be inducted with Corliss Williamson and the other seven inductees is an honor that is hard to put into words."

A letterman from 1979-82, Gary Anderson was selected to the All-Southwest Conference team in 1982 and is a member of UA¹s All-Decade Team for the 1980s.. As a tailback, he rushed for 1,999 yards and 10 touchdowns on 392 carries. He still ranks among the UA top 10 for career rushes, rushing yardage and yards per carry.

Anderson has been head coach of the Arkansas Twisters for three seasons. In 2002, Anderson led the Twisters to their first ever trip to the post season as the Twisters finished with a record of 11-5. This year, despite a much tougher schedule and an injury riddled lineup, Anderson has the Twisters back in the playoffs for the second time.

The Twisters finish the regular season this Saturday night visiting the Birmingham Steeldogs at 7:30pm. The game can be seen live in Central Arkansas on PAX 20/49.
