Anchorage Wolverines News Release
After a relaxing bye weekend, the Anchorage Wolverines hit the road for their final series of the 2023 year against the Chippewa Steel.
The evenly matched contest brings the Midwest Division's number four ranked (Chippewa) and number five ranked (Anchorage) teams to the ice for the first time since April 2nd, where Chippewa overcame Anchorage 6-2.
Both teams are sitting with a one game losing streak, after Anchorage's final-game loss to the Springfield Jr. Blues and Chippewa's single-game overtime loss to the Minnesota Wilderness.
The Chippewa Steel sit with 33 points on the season, the Anchorage Wolverines just trailing with 32 points, despite the Wolverines being four games short of the Steel.
You can watch the games on NAHLtv, or head over to Matanuska Brewing Co. for watch parties. Puck drops at 4:00pm AKST.
The Holidays at Home:
From Alaska to Washington, California, Minnesota, Wisconsin and more, the Anchorage Wolverines spent their holidays back at home with their families! We're hoping everybody had an amazing holiday break, but are SO ready to have the boys back on the ice.
