WEEK IN REVIEW
The Anaheim Arsenal hosted a second round of player tryouts Friday morning at the American Sports Center in Anaheim. More than 20 local hopefuls displayed their skills for Assistant Coach Paul Mokeski. (Picture attached).
The Anaheim Arsenal welcomes new Head Coach Sam Vincent, former head coach of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats. Coach Vincent brings with him 12 years of professional coaching experience, along with his illustrious 7-year career as an NBA player which included one NBA championship ring.
2008-09 pre-season ticket sales have escalated due to affordably priced group and family packages. The team has partnered with several community organizations, including National Junior Basketball and several local dance groups, to boost our local fan base.
COMING UP
Friday, November 7th at 4:00 p.m. at National Sports Bar (450 N State College Blvd.). National Sports Bar will host an NBA D-League Draft Party with free food and drinks. The Arsenal owns the 6th pick in this year's draft.
Wednesday, December 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center (800 West Katella Ave.). The Arsenal will host its home opener against the Reno Bighorns on December 3, 2008. The game marks Head Coach Sam Vincent's first home game for the Arsenal and the first game in Anaheim for the Bighorns, a 2008 NBA D-League expansion team.
