
Anaheim Arsenal Announce Local Player Tryout

ANAHEIM, Calif., August 21, 2006 - The Anaheim Arsenal have announced local player tryouts will be held Saturday and Sunday, October 14 and 15 at the world's largest indoor sports facility in the US and home to the USA Men's National Volleyball team, American Sports Center, located at 1500 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, Ca, 92805.
The Arsenal local player tryouts offer athletes an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the Anaheim Arsenal coaching staff, including head coach, Larry Smith and assistant coach, Reggie Geary where players will compete to earn an invitation to the team's training camp, which will begin in early November.
Applicants may pre-register by submitting the official registration, disclosure and release forms, in addition to a $150 non-refundable fee by October 6. Tryouts are limited to the first 200 players and payments may be made by cash, check or credit card (Visa and Mastercard only). Application forms are available at www.anaheimarsenal.com.
Twelve teams will comprise the 2006-07 NBA Development League season, which begins Thanksgiving weekend. The league is composed of the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (N.M.), Anaheim Arsenal (Calif.), Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Bakersfield Jam (Calif.), Colorado 14ers (Broomfield), Dakota Wizards (Bismarck, N.D.), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Idaho Stampede (Boise), Los Angeles D-Fenders, Sioux Falls Skyforce (S.D.) and Tulsa 66ers (Okla.).
