Amileigha Blue to Headline Iron Fest

Local musicians Amileigha Blue and Mike Bustin will perform at Iron Fest on Friday, July 24 on the Bradley Center Fourth St. Plaza in Milwaukee. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. and will precede the Iron's final regular season game of the year against the Albany Firebirds. A Hughesville, Mo. native, Blue has been singing her whole life, but was headed for a career in the Air Force before finding her true calling. She and Bustin, who hails from Atlanta, Ga., met in Milwaukee and have performed together across the Midwest.

The pair plays a combination of country, folk, soul, pop, and rock & roll music that appeals to a variety of music fans. Blue and Bustin's talents will be on display at Iron Fest along with food, beverages, games, prizes, and autographs and appearances from the Iron players and the Platinum Dance Team. The event is free to the public and runs up until the pre-game festivities commence inside the Bradley Center at 6:30 p.m. Both the Iron (5-10) and the Firebirds (6-9) are still in contention for the eighth and final spot in the af2 playoffs. Milwaukee won the only previous matchup between the two with a last minute touchdown in a 66-63 shootout. Tickets for the 7:00 p.m. game can be purchased during Iron Fest at the Bradley Center ticket window or by calling the Iron ticket office at (262) 523-9206.
