Amerks Recall McPherson; Sign Fullerton to PTO

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has recalled forward Allan McPherson from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. In addition, the team has signed goaltender Travis Fullerton to a professional tryout contract (PTO).

McPherson, 23, has played in 18 AHL games for the Amerks this year while also recording 22 points (8+14) and 18 penalty minutes in 22 ECHL games with Elmira. Last season, he appeared in five AHL games and recorded one assist with the Abbotsford Heat after completing his collegiate career at Clarkson University. In four seasons at Clarkson, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound native of Kinburn, Ontario, registered 103 points (41+62) and 88 penalty minutes in 150 games. McPherson signed with the Amerks organization as an undrafted free agent on Aug. 12, 2014.

Fullerton, 27, has appeared in 25 ECHL games this season with Elmira, posting a record of 14-5-0-4 with a 2.55 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage. In 72 career ECHL games with San Francisco, Las Vegas and Elmira, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound native of Riverview, New Brunswick, has posted a 28-27-5-6 record with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.
