Amerks Announce 2010-11 Training Camp Roster

Rochester Americans News Release


(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today the team's 2010-11 training camp roster. Twenty-seven players will battle for a roster spot and a chance to play in the Amerks' season opener on Saturday, October 9th against the Toronto Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum. Rochester's home opener is slated for Sunday, October 10th against the two-time defending Calder Cup champion Hershey Bears. Additional players will be added to the roster over the course of the week on reassignment from the Florida Panthers.

The Amerks will officially open training camp on Monday, September 27th at 10:30 a.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. The roster consists of 27 players and features 14 forwards, 11 defensemen and two goaltenders. The highlight of camp is the team's Blue/Red game on Wednesday, September 29th at 7:00 at The Blue Cross Arena. The event is free and open to the public with concessions available to all patrons.

Rochester's 2010-11 Training Camp Roster:

Forwards (14): Brady Calla, Greg Collins, Chris Clackson, Ryan Del Monte, Tommy Goebel, Igor Gongalsky, Max Lacroix, Chris Moran, Matt Pierce, David Rutherford, Brennan Sarazin, Eric Selleck, Chris Taylor and Tobias Whelan.

Defensemen (11): Paul Baier, Jeff Caister, Michael Caruso, Adam Comrie, James DeLory, TJ Fast, Mike Kostka, Brian O'Hanley, Colby Robak, Riley Weselowski and Clay Wilson.

Goaltenders (2): Mark Cheverie and Brian Foster.
