Rochester Knighthawks News Release
(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans and Knighthawks will "Go Green" this weekend as they take part in the Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 14th. The parade begins at 12:30 p.m. at East Avenue and Alexander Street, and ends on Plymouth Avenue.
The organization will enter a float in the parade and will also have two trucks in the procession. The most eye-catching will be the large, orange Amerks and Knighthawks truck, which will tow an Amerks Sprint car driven by Glenn Styres, brother of Amerks and Knighthawks Owner and CEO Curt Styres.
The orange truck will carry Amerks/Knighthawks Senior VP of Operations Jolain Foster, Amerks/Knighthawks President Lewis Staats, Amerks Hall of Famer and current GM Jody Gage and the VP of Ticketing Adam Winslow. The truck will also hold American Spirit dancers and members of the Amerks hockey team.
The second vehicle will include Knighthawks star John Grant, Knighthawks broadcaster Craig Rybczynski, members of the Knightingales Dance Team and Knighthawks Ticket Sales Manager Nate Snyder. Additional staff members, players and the K-Hawks Krew members will be walking alongside the float and trucks.
Later that night, the Knighthawks will battle the defending champion Buffalo Bandits on Irish Night at 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. Rochester will celebrate the holiday with live Irish music by Everheart and performances by Irish dancers and bag pipers. Fans that wear green can also receive best available seating for just $10.
