ALLEN, TEXAS - Allen Americans defenseman Trevor Hendrikx and former Americans player Erik Adams stopped by Bolin Elementary School in Allen this week. The two visited kindergarten and first grade students during their PE classes.
Hendrikx and Adams spoke with the students about hockey, the importance of school and education, and helped a few students dress in full Allen Americans gear. Students were also able to pose with and hold up the Presidents' Cup. After speaking to them, both Hendrikx and Adams participated with the students in a game of floor hockey.
"The kids really enjoyed the Presidents' Cup Trophy," said Trevor Hendrikx. "One student asked me if I've ever eaten cereal out of the Presidents' Cup. The answer, by the way, is No."
Allen Americans players visit schools in Collin County throughout the season with the message of how important it is for students to get an education and enjoy learning.
