Americans Set for Game 2 in Prince George

The Ams and Cougars will play once more in Prince George tonight before taking their first-round playoff series to Kennewick.

After winning last night, Tri-City leads the best-of-seven series 1-0. The Ams also led their regular season series against Prince George (3-1-0-0). Tri-City is 2-0 over the last ten years in playoff series when winning Game One.

Tyson Greenway opened scoring with a pair of goals to give Tri-City a 2-0 first period lead. Greenway had four multi-point games during the regular season. Tri-City extended their lead to 3-0 with a goal from Parker Bell in the second period. Prince George responded with three straight, tying the game by early third period. Jake Sloan, Deagan McMillan, and Jalen Luypen each added a goal in the third period for Tri-City, finishing with a 6-4 victory. Adam Mechura had a pair of assists, extending his point streak to five games with three goals and five assists over that period. Despite all the scoring action, the game only had one penalty (Chase Wheatcroft, cross checking). The win is Tri-City's 7th straight, stetching back to the regular season. Tomas Suchanek played in net and turned aside 43 of 47 shots faced.
