
Americans Players at Two AHL Camps

Allen, Texas - American Hockey League training camps opened this past weekend, with Allen Americans training camp set to begin in less than two weeks.
Ryley Grantham, who has agreed in principle to a deal with Allen, is in camp with the Iowa Wild (formerly the Houston Aeros ). Grantham played in 25 games for the Aeros last season, accumulating 76 penalty minutes and four points. The native of Hanna, Alberta, is a former sixth round draft pick of the Calgary Flames .
Allen sent two players to the Oklahoma City Barons camp, which opened last Friday in Oklahoma City. Kale Kerbashian and Alex Lavoie are both representing the Americans at the AAA camp. Kerbashian had 31 points in 22 regular season games game for Allen, while Alex Lavoie played in one post-season game for the Americans and had one assist.
"It's nice for our players to get the opportunity to experience hockey at the next level said Allen Americans Head Coach and GM Steve Martinson. "As a player that's all you can ask for is a chance to compete for a job."
Allen Americans training camp is set to open on Monday, October 7th at 10:00 am at Allen Event Center. This will be Allen's fifth season in the Central Hockey League and first as defending Presidents' Cup Champions .
