Allen Americans News Release
Loveland, Colorado* - The Allen Americans trail the Colorado Eagles 0-2 in the series after dropping both games in Allen last weekend. Puck drop from Budweiser Events Center is 8:05 PM CST.
The Americans have been a good road team in the postseason this year, winning all three games against Utah last round. The club has not fared very well on home ice with a record of 1 and 3, and losers of three straight at Allen Event Center.
"It's hard to explain why we've better on the road than at home," said Americans forward Gary Steffes. "This is a tight group and we enjoy being around each on the road. I guess you could say team bonding time with a more structured day when you're on the road. We're excited to be here and ready to turn things around in this series."
The Americans are still looking for their first win against Colorado this season. Allen is 0-4 against the Eagles, with their last win in Colorado coming on October 21, 2015 when the Americans beat the Eagles 3-1 with Casey Pierro-Zabotel, Greger Hanson and Danny Federico scoring the goals that night, with Joel Rumpel getting the win in net.
Allen will get Bryan Moore back in the lineup tonight after serving his four-game suspension. Tanner Eberle could see action tonight for the first time in the playoffs. Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson has some decisions to make on his lineup tonight, with everyone healthy and ready to go.
