Allen Americans News Release


The last few days have been busy for not only the Allen Americans Players, but the whole organization as well. Check out some of the events held last week.

The Latest Events

- Practice with the Jr. team - Monday, January 9th - A couple players spent their time practicing with the Pee Wee team $B!F(Bshowing them the ropes'

- School Visit - Tuesday, January 10th - A few players made a stop at Marion Elementary in Allen to talk with young students about leadership skills and being a role model

- Fan Forum - Wednesday, January 11th - A first time fan forum event consisting of a random sampling of different season ticket holders were invited to attend a night out at Boston's Restaurant in McKinney. The ticket holders were welcome to implement suggestions and ask questions to the organization. - Mike Martin, VP of Ticket Sales, had this to say about the night, "All in all it was a great first gathering and $B!F(Bround table discussion.' With no question will this be the start to more future forums for our Americans family. My feeling is that you can't truly tweak and improve things as an organization unless you talk directly to those closest to you, your Season Ticket Holders and Partners. I received plenty of great feedback and suggestions that we'll look implement moving forward. Thank you again to all that were able to participate!"

- Watching Party - Wednesday, January 11th - Americans All Star Watching Party at Boston's Restaurant in McKinney. Americans fans gathered to watch All Stars Bruce Graham, and Scott Langdon play in the CHL All Star Game in Arizona. Americans Head Coach and GM Dwight Mullins coached the All Stars while Americans broadcaster Tommy Daniels was a part of the crew that called the game on CHL TV. Americans Trainer Jason Wallace joined Coach Mullins on the bench.

- Fan Trip - Saturday, January 14th - Americans fans took a bus trip from Allen to Tulsa, Oklahoma to watch the Americans play the Tulsa Oilers. The Americans won the game 5-2

- Biscuit gives blood. Tuesday January 17th- Allen Americans Mascot "Biscuit" gave blood as part of the Annual Allen Battle of the Badges Blood Drive on Tuesday at Best Buy in the Village at Allen. Americans fans along with folks in Collin County gave blood to support area blood banks and vote for Allen Police or Fire Department! Biscuit cast his ballot for Allen PD, which did you choose? The Annual Police vs Fire Hockey game is February 11th at the Allen Event Center.
