
American Hockey League Announces Staff Addition

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... American Hockey League President and Chief Executive Officer *David Andrews* announced today that *Darren Arnold* of The Aspire Group has been retained as Executive Consultant, Team Business Services for the AHL.
Arnold will provide executive consultancy to the league's Team Business Services program both strategically and operationally. As senior director of The Aspire Group's National Sales Center in Atlanta, Arnold's recent clients have included the NFL, the NCAA and the United States Tennis Association.
Arnold holds a degree in sport management from Brock University.
In addition, *Jonathan Forsberg* has been promoted to the position of Director of Team Business Services, and *Emily Vance* has been named Coordinator of Business Analytics.
Forsberg has been a key member of the Team Business Services department since coming to the AHL in 2013 after four seasons as an account executive with the Worcester Sharks. He earned a degree in sport management from Springfield College.
Vance formally joined the AHL in June following an internship in the spring of 2016. She also graduated from Springfield College with a degree in sport management.
In operation since 1936, the AHL continues to serve as the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams. More than 88 percent of today's NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and more than 100 honored members of the Hockey Hall of Fame spent time in the AHL in their careers. In 2015-16, over 7.1 million fans attended AHL regular-season and playoff games across North America, the highest total attendance in league history.
