Fargo-Moorhead 11, Sioux Falls 3

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks put everything together in an 11-3 win against the Sioux City Explorers 11-3 on the back of an eight-inning outing from Jake Laber.

Laber went to work on the mound for Fargo, allowing three runs (two earned) over his eight frames and using 110 pitches to get his 24 outs. He worked around seven hits and two walks while striking out two.

Offensively, the entire RedHawk team was involved throughout the game, with eight players getting on the board with a hit. SS Zach Penprase and 3B Ronnie Bourquin were catalysts out of the one- and two-holes going 2-5 and 2-4 respectively. The two combined for five runs and three RBIs.

Lincoln 7, Gary SouthShore 4

Lincoln and Gary SouthShore both totaled nine hits against each other, but the Saltdogs were able to convert for seven runs and hold the Rail Cats to just four, grabbing a 7-4 win.

RF Brian Joynt and LF Matt Forgatch both led Lincoln with two hits apiece. Joynt picked up his ninth double of the season and scored a run and Forgatch scored a pair of runs.

Michael Click picked up the win for the Saltdogs after a two-inning relief appearance. He allowed just one hit and struck out three batters in the process.

Wichita 15, Amarillo 7

The Wichita Wingnuts erupted for 19 hits against the Amarillo Sox and went on to grab a 15-7 win.

Six seperate batters had multi-hit nights for the Wingnuts and LF Carlo Testa led the way with four hits on his own. Testa tripled for the sixth time of the season and scored three runs while driving in two.

Wichita starter Justin Klipp threw six innings en route to the win for the Wingnuts, striking out four batters and walking two while giving up just two unearned runs.

Grand Prairie 3, Sioux City 1

The Grand Prairie AirHogs slipped past the Sioux City Explorers 3-1 after scoring two runs in the top of the ninth inning against Sioux City's bullpen.

On the other hand, Grand Prairie's relief pitchers threw extremely well, combining for 2.2 shutout innings and allowing just two hits to clinch the win.

1B Andres Rodriguez went 3-5 out of the two-hole, drove in a run and doubled for the seventh time of the season.

St. Paul 2, Winnipeg 0

The St. Paul Saints took down the Winnipeg Goldeyes 2-0 on the back of a strong performance from the pitching staff.

Nick Barnese started the game for the Saints and picked up the win after throwing seven shutout innings and striking out three batters. Mikey Mehlich and Dan Settler threw the final two shutout innings and allowed just one hit between the two of them.

SS Joey Becker and 1B Dwight Childs both had two-hit games for St. Paul and were responsible for both of the runs that the Saints plated during the game.

Laredo 12, Kansas City 0

The Laredo Lemurs outplayed Kansas City on both sides of the ball tonight, scoring 12 runs and shutting out the T-Bones to grab a 12-0 victory.

The Lemurs scored in just three innings, but went for three in the first, five in the fourth and four in the fifth inning to put the game out of reach. DH Angel Flores paced the team with four hits and three RBIs and 1B John Alonso went 3-4 with two RBIs batting in front of him.

Josh Strawn picked up the win for Laredo after a five-hit, seven-inning outing that featured three strikeouts and a pair of walks.
