RF Austin Easley went 2-for-4 with a homerun and three RBI to lead Shreveport past Fort Worth 7-3. Starting pitcher Bert Snow got the win for the Sports, allowing three runs over seven innings of work. Aaron Cunningham pitched two shutout innings in relief to pick up his first save of the year. Fort Worth SS Marc Mirizzi and LF Tony Mota both homered for the Cats in the losing cause.

Pensacola 4, Coastal Bend 1

Pensacola starting pitcher Clint Sodowsky allowed only one run over 8 2/3 innings while striking out nine en route to his fourth victory of the year. Tony Pierce picked up his fifth save of the year in relief for the Pelicans. At the plate Pensacola pounded out 10 hits, led by 1B Tim Dorn who went 3-for-4. RF Juan Rocha added a hit and two RBI of his own for the Pelicans. Despite his team taking the loss, starting pitcher Pedro Flores was effective, throwing six shutout innings for the Aviators.

Sioux City 6, Sioux Falls 5

HR: SC-Alex Llanos (2), Kevin Henry (6)
2B Alex Llanos went 2-for-5 with a homerun and an RBI to power Sioux City past Sioux Falls 6-5. LF Kevin Henry also added a homerun and two RBI of his own for the Explorers. Starting pitcher Tom Lipari picked up the win after going seven innings and allowing four runs while striking out five. Relief pitcher Sean Kramer pitched a scoreless ninth inning to tally his fifth save of the year for Sioux City. LF Chad Hermensen went 3-for-4 with an RBI for Sioux Falls in the losing cause.

Starting pitcher Mike Meyer allowed two runs over 7 1/3 innings to pick up his fourth win of the year. Lincoln SS Ryan Priddy went 3-for-4 to lead the Saltdogs in hits for the game. 3B Jay Yaconetti hit his 3rd homerun of the year for Lincoln in the losing effort.
