2B Matt Creighton's RBI single in the ninth inning completed a two run rally and helped the Aviators beat the Saints and take two of three in the series. J.R. Pickens picked up his fourth victory in relief pitching a scoreless ninth, allowing two hits. CF Evan Tartaglia, 3B Andy Wilson, RF Rodney Medina, and C Stephen Morales each had two hit games for Coastal Bend, with Wilson scoring the winning run. 2B Pat Scalabrini was the man for St. Paul in the losing effort going 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Lincoln 6, Sioux Falls 5

Lincoln scored all six of their runs in the seventh inning to overcome a 5-0 deficit and beat Sioux Falls. DH Paul Powell, LF Jose Torres, and CF Cory Harris each had two hits on the afternoon with Torres driving in two runs on his first home run of the season. Jarrett Gardner pitched a scoreless sixth inning with two strikeouts for Lincoln en route to his second win, while Jerrod Fuell notched his sixth save, which is good for second in the league behind Coastal Bend's James Lira. 1B Abner Arroyo had a terrific game for the Canaries going 2-for-4 with one run scored and two runs driven in.

Pensacola 14, El Paso 5

Pelicans 3B Trino Aguilar and CF Drake Wade each had four hits on the game with Wade driving in three runs to lead the Pelicans to an easy win over the Diablos. Pensacola hammered out 21 hits and score five times in the first three innings to which they never looked back. The top three in the order for Pensacola was where the most damage was done as they went a combined 9-for-18 with four runs scored and seven runs driven in. Rusty Begnaud got his fourth victory of the season which puts him into a tie for first in the league in wins. LF Logan Wood and 2B Josh Fulton each had three hit games for the Diablos in the loss.

Sioux City 3, St. Joe 1

A sensational performance by Sioux City starting pitcher Billy Keppinger gets the Explorers past the Blacksnakes. Keppinger went eight strong innings allowing no earned runs on four hits with seven strikeouts to collect his second win of the season. Sioux City got out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning thanks to a RBI single by 1B Dan Meier, who had a 2-for-4 outing with two runs driven in. St. Joe tied it at 1-1 in the third inning when 3B Ben Thomas doubled to drive home CF Scooter Jordan. The Explorers took the lead for good, 2-1, in the fifth inning on 3B Ryan Gripp's RBI single which scored LF Jorge Moreno. Sioux City added an insurance run in the seventh inning to round out the scoring. Explorers' reliever Mike Nunes pitched a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts to pick up his first save of the season.

Shreveport 4, Fort Worth 2

CF Coby Smith, 2B Neb Brown, DH Chad Gambill, and 1B Justin Humphries each had two hits on the night in helping Shreveport win at Fort Worth. The Sports scored two early runs in the first inning and would never relinquish the lead. Shreveport starting pitcher Eric Wikstrom worked 7 2/3 innings giving up two earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts to win for the second time this season. For the Cats, they were led by C Adam Miller who had a 1-for-4 outing with a run scored. Cats starter Joel Kirsten got his first loss going five innings surrendering four earned runs on seven hits with six strikeouts.
