Down six runs after just three innings, Coastal Bend scored seven unanswered runs to rally past Shreveport for its 13th victory of the season. Relief pitcher Lavelle Morgan pitched just 1/3 of an inning to pick up the win for the Aviators. Relief pitcher James Lira tallied his seventh save of the season as well. Offensively, Coastal Bend was led by LF Brian Fryer who went 3-for-3 with an RBI. Six Shreveport players had two hits in the losing cause, led by CF Coby Smith who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Pensacola 2, Fort Worth 1

Despite being held scoreless for the first seven innings of the game, Pensacola managed to rally for two runs in the eighth and get its eighth win of the season. Starting pitcher Russell Begnaud got the win for the Pelicans, his third win of the year. Begnaud allowed just one run over seven innings to pick up the victory. SS Carlos Mendoza and LF Ed Montague both had two hits and an RBI to lead the Pelicans at the plate. Fort Worth starting pitcher Luke Hochevar pitched six strong innings in the losing cause. Hochevar allowed no runs and struck out six for the Cats.

Lincoln 9, St. Joe 5

HR: LN-Cory Harris (3), Pichi Balet (1)

CF Cory Harris and 1B Pichi Balet each hit a homerun and combined for three RBI to power the Saltdogs past the Blacksnakes 9-5. C Kevin Sullivan also added two hits and an RBI to the Saltdog attack. Starting pitcher Ben Fox improved to 4-0 on the season, pitching five innings and allowing five runs. C Jefferson Infante led St. Joe at the plate with three hits and four RBI in the losing effort.

Sioux Falls 7, Sioux City 3

Sioux Falls put together a four run ninth inning to break a 3-3 tie and pull away from Sioux City for a 7-3 victory. Canaries' relief pitcher Aaron Garrison picked up his first win of the season, pitching 2 1/3 scoreless innings. LF Abner Arroyo was perfect at the plate for Sioux Falls going 5-for-5 with an RBI. C Dennis Anderson also added three hits and two RBI of his own. Sioux City LF Jorge Moreno went 2-for-4 to lead the Explorers offensively, including his league-leading sixth homerun of the season.
