Sioux Falls 7, Sioux City 5

Sioux Falls got big-time performances from four of its most consistent players, and outlasted Sioux City 7-5. Starter Chris Salberg continued his monster start to the season, improving to 8-0 by allowing four runs in seven innings. On the offensive side, the Pheasants got home runs from consistent power hitters CF Reggie Abercrombie and 1B Brandon Sing, who leads the league with 17 round trippers. And LF Beau Torbert, who sits atop the league with a .406 batting average, tallied four hits and scored three times. Sioux City got great production from the bottom of its lineup in the loss, as 11 of the team's 13 hits came from the 5-through-9 hitters in the lineup.

Grand Prairie 2, Fort Worth 1

The AirHogs scored once in each of the first two innings and relied on a stellar pitching performance by Luke Prihoda to down Fort Worth 2-1. Grand Prairie 1B Greg Porter and 2B Chris Brown each contributed RBI hits early, and from there, Prihoda allowed just one run over seven innings to hold off the Cats. He scattered five hits en route to his fourth win of the season, and Geivy Garcia pitched two hitless frames out of the bullpen to tally his sixth save. Fort Worth C Kelley Gulledge hit his third home run of the season to account for the Cats' only offense.

Lincoln 3, Pensacola 2 (10 innings)

Lincoln RF Rafael Alvarez capped a two-out rally in the bottom of the 10th with a walk-off RBI single to squeak past Pensacola 3-2. Alvarez's hit broke a 2-2 tie that had been knotted since each team scored two in the fourth inning. Lincoln reliever Nolan Chestnut pitched four innings out of the bullpen, and got his second win when the offense pushed across the extra inning tally. Each starter, Lincoln's Noel Baca and Pensacola's Bryan Rembisz, allowed just two runs and took no decisions.

St. Paul 13, Wichita 5

St. Paul C Gerard Haran and 2B Brandon Carter paced the Saints offense in an 18-hit showing and a 13-5 hammering of Wichita. Haran finished the night 3-for-6, contributing a fifth inning two-run homer and a bases clearing double in the seventh. Carter had four hits, including his third home run of the season. Four other Saints tallied multiple hits in the game. Starter Ryan Morse allowed five runs, but lasted eight innings and earned his third win of the season.

Shreveport-Bossier 9, El Paso 5

Shreveport-Bossier scored two to go ahead in the seventh and the bullpen held off El Paso in a 9-5 win. In a see-saw game, Captains LF Palmer Karr Jr. tied the game with an RBI double, and the Captains went ahead with another tally later in the frame. They added three insurance runs in the ninth. Karr finished the game 3-for-3 with four runs scored. Shreveport-Bossier starter Richard Salazar pitched six innings and picked up his fourth win, and four relievers allowed just one hit over the final three innings.
