The Pensacola Pelicans keep rolling along as the Pelicans edge past the Fort Worth Cats and win their fourth in a row. 2B Antoin Gray led the Pensacola offense going 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Pelicans C Lou Palmisano and 3B Luis Guance each chipped in with a home run as well. Pensacola reliever Tyler Wilson tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings and collected his third win of the year. RF Ryan Patterson was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for Fort Worth in defeat.

Lincoln 3, Sioux Falls 2

Sioux Falls had a 2-1 lead after seven innings before Lincoln plated a run in the eighth and one more in the ninth to walk away with a 3-2 win at home. Saltdogs SS Albenis Machado was 1-for-4 on the night and scored the game winning run. Lincoln reliever Forrest Cory pitched 2/3 of an inning with a strikeout to earn his first win of the season. 2B Joe Anthonsen and RF Cory Harris each went 1-for-3 with a run scored for Sioux Falls. With the victory, Lincoln has now won three straight.

Sioux City 6, Wichita 1

1B Jason Colson was the star of the game as Sioux City broke a five game losing streak and beat the Wichita Wingnuts. With the score 3-0 Sioux City in the bottom of the eighth inning, Colson broke the game open with a three-run home run, his fourth of the year. Colson would finish the night 2-for-4 with four RBI. CF Dustin Jones and SS Nick McCoola each had two hits as well to aid the Explorers offense. Sioux City starter Trevor Fox improved his record to 5-2 on the season with a 5 1/3 inning performance allowing four hits and six walks while fanning seven Wichita batters.

St. Paul 4, El Paso 2

The St. Paul Saints scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie and beat the El Paso Diablos, 4-2. RF Brent Krause led the Saints offense going 2-for-3 and scoring a pair of runs. St. Paul starting pitcher Mark Moriarty had a solid outing in picking up his second win of the season. Moriarty went six innings and allowed one earned run on two hits with three walks and 10 strikeouts. 3B Mike Provencher launched his second home run of the season for the Diablos.

Shreveport-Bossier 10, Grand Prairie 6

1B Chris Garcia had a monster game at the plate in leading Shreveport-Bossier to victory over the Grand Prairie AirHogs. Garcia went 3-for-5 with a run scored, two doubles and six RBI. DH Jose Torres, CF Jonathan Reynoso and SS Angelo Fermin each had two hits for the Captains. Shreveport-Bossier starter Luke Massetti won his seventh game of the season going 6 1/3 innings allowing six earned runs on 10 hits. With the win, the Captains break their four game losing streak and remain two games behind Pensacola in the South Division.
