Ft. Worth rallied from a 5-3 deficit in the final two innings to down Grand Prairie by a 6-5 final. The Cats scored twice in the top of the eighth to tie the game at five before 3B Michael Bell hit a solo homer off AirHogs closer James Morrison in the ninth to give Ft. Worth their first lead of the game. Cats reliever Gary Lee worked the bottom of the ninth and closed the game out for his third save. Ft. Worth DH John Allen homered twice in the middle innings, driving in three. Kieran Mattison pitched the first six innings for Grand Prairie and allowed three runs on five hits and four walks. He struck out six.

Wichita ended a five game slide with a 3-0 victory over Sioux Falls behind an outstanding pitching performance from Adam Cowart. The Wingnuts starter tossed seven shutout innings and struck out four to improve his record to 5-2 on the season. Travis Kane pitched well for the Canaries, going eight innings and surrendering just two earned runs, but he took the loss to fall to 3-7.
The number two through four hitters in the Wingnuts batting order collected two hits apiece. Canaries RF JD Reininger finished a perfect 3-for-3 in a losing effort.
