A ninth-inning rally fell two runs short for Coastal Bend, as Pensacola held on to win 6-4. Coastal Bend 1B Bryon Smith hit his second of two home runs in the ninth inning to bring Coastal Bend within two runs. But after picking up singles from DH Grant Richardson and C Stephen Morales, Pelicans reliever Chris Thompson got Aviators RF Juan Figueroa to fly out to center field to end the game. Pelicans DH Marcos Rodriguez went 2-for-5 at the plate with a run scored and an RBI. Although he surrendered only one earned run, Pelicans starting pitcher Matthew Creighton came one out shy of earning his first victory of the season, pitching 4.2 innings and surrendering the lone run on three hits.

Sioux City 11, El Paso 9

In a home-run-filled game Thursday night, Sioux City led El Paso for nearly the entire contest, but the Diablos tied the game at 9-9 in the bottom of the seventh inning, capping a 4-0 stretch during the sixth and seventh innings. However, Sioux City answered quickly with two runs of their own in the top of the eighth inning to take an 11-9 lead. In the game, El Paso committed five costly errors, leading to four Explorers unearned runs. El Paso remains atop the South Division standings with a record of 19-12.

Fort Worth at Shreveport (Postponed - Rain)

The game was postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader beginning at 6:05 on Friday, June 22nd. Both games will be seven innings.
