Lincoln picked up right where it left off after an impressive offensive performance in the completion of a suspended game. The Saltdogs held a 9-1 lead after three innings and for Lindsay Gulin, the best pitcher in the American Association this season, that is usually more than enough. It certainly was enough again tonight, as Gulin allowed just one run, in the first inning, in six innings and cruised to his ninth win of the season. The win for Lincoln is the team's 13th in its last 16 games. After starting the second half 0-5, the Saltdogs are now 13-8 and in first place in the North Division.

Cory Walters pitched Fort Worth past Pensacola with help from his offense, which recorded 10 hits en route to the one-run victory. The win improves Walters' record to 10-4 on the year, giving him more wins than any other pitcher in the American Association. The win also improves the Cats' rank in the standings, pulling them even with Coastal Bend for a first place tie in the South Division after the Aviators fell to St. Joe at home. 3B Terence Green had a big night for Fort Worth, going 2-for-5 with a run scored and two runs batted in while LF Tony Mota hit his seventh home run of the year.

St. Joe 6, Coastal Bend 3

W: Donovan Graves (7-3) L: Bryan Heaston (5-3) S: Jamie Tricoglou (11)
HR: SJ-Cory Harris (1), Wil Quintana (16); CB-Matt Creighton (7)
Despite a valiant effort from Coastal Bend starting pitcher Bryan Heaston, the Blacksnakes bested the Aviators in front of Coastal Bend's home crowd. The loss by the Aviators puts them into a first place tie with Fort Worth, who beat Pensacola earlier in the night, atop the South Division standings. Heaston threw 168 pitches in eight innings of work, but saw a one-run lead slip away in the seventh and gave up a two-run home run in the eighth before giving way to the bullpen to start the ninth. St. Joe 1B Wil Quintana was 1-for-5 on the night and belted his league leading 16th home run to help the Blacksnakes improve to 10-10 in the second half.

The win improves Johnson to 5-5 on the year and allows the Canaries to move into second place, two games behind Lincoln in the North Division.
