Pensacola scored a run in the seventh inning and one more in the eighth to erase the El Paso lead and pick up the win 6-5. LF George Branch went 2-for-4 with a homerun and three RBI to lead the Pelicans at the plate. The homerun gives Branch eight for the season. Relief pitcher Carl Scheafer pitched a scoreless eighth inning to get the win and closer Tony Pierce pitched a perfect ninth with two strikeouts to pick up the save. It was Pierce's 15th save of the year. El Paso 1B Michael Harkins went 3-for-4 with two RBI to lead the losing Diablos at the plate.

Fort Worth 5, Coastal Bend 3

1B Shawn Williams went 2-for-3 with two RBI to help Fort Worth past Coastal Bend 5-3. RF Carlos Adolfo added to the Cats offensive attack with his seventh homerun of the season. Relief pitcher Matt Harrington picked up the win with two scoreless innings of work. With the win Harrington improves to 3-1 on the season. Coastal Bend C Stephen Morales went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the team at the plate. SS Jack Joffrion added a homerun for the Aviators in the losing effort.

St. Joe 5, Sioux Falls 3

3B Ben Thomas went 2-for-4 with a homerun to lift St. Joe over Sioux Falls 5-3. The homerun was Thomas' fifth of the season. Starting pitcher Mark Nussbeck allowed only three runs on six hits over seven innings to pick up the win and improve to 6-3 on the season. St. Joe closer Jamie Tricoglou pitched a scoreless ninth inning to tally his 10th save of the year. Sioux Falls LF/CF Chad Hermansen went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the losing Canaries offensively.

Lincoln 5, St. Paul 1

Lincoln starting pitcher Jeff Blitstein allowed just one run over 8 1/3 innings of work to help the Saltdogs past St. Paul 5-1. With the win Blitstein's record improves to 5-1 on the season. Relief pitcher Scott Vandermeer recorded the final out of the game to pick up his second save of the year. RF Bryan Warner and 2B Josh Patton combined for four hits and four RBI to lead Lincoln at the plate. St. Paul RF Adam Olow and SS Brian Sprout each went 2-for-3 to lead the Saints offensively in the losing cause.

Sioux City 6, Shreveport 3

Sioux City scored all six of its runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to knock off Shreveport 6-3. At the plate, the Explorers were led by 2B Alex Llanos and LF Jorge Moreno, who combined for four hits and two RBI. Starting pitcher Billy Keppinger picked up his 7th win of the season, allowing just two runs on five hits over eight innings. Shreveport SS Enohel Polanco went 2-for-4 with a homerun to lead the Sports at the plate in the losing effort.
