DH Larry Bethea went 3-for-4 with a homerun and three RBI to lead Pensacola past Coastal Bend 5-2. The homerun was Bethea's sixth of the season. Starting pitcher Sam Smith picked up the win, allowing just two runs on six hits over seven innings of work. Closer Tony Pierce pitched a scoreless ninth to pick up his 14th save of the season. C Andrew York led the Aviators at the plate with two hits in the game.

Shreveport 8, St. Paul 4

SS Enohel Polanco went 3-for-4 with an RBI to help Shreveport knock off St. Paul 8-4. 1B Al Corbeil added two hits and two RBI of his own to the Sports attack. Starting pitcher T.J. Hendricks picked up his fourth win of the season, allowing only one run over six innings of work. SS Brian Sprout and LF Jeremy Frost combined for five hits to lead St. Paul in the losing effort. CF Chaz Lytle drove in two of the Saints' four runs in the game as well.

Fort Worth 1, El Paso 0

Starting pitcher Cory Walters pitched 8 2/3 scoreless innings to help Fort Worth win a pitching duel against El Paso 1-0. With the win, Walters' record improves to 8-4 on the season. Closer Steven C. Wilkerson recorded the final out of the game to pick up his fifth save of the season. DH Tony Mota went 1-for-4 and drove in the only run of the game to lead the Cats at the plate. El Paso managed only three hits in the game, with three different batters getting one hit apiece.

Starting pitcher Mark Nussbeck allowed no runs and just four hits over seven innings of work to help St. Joe past Sioux City 8-0. The win improved Nussbeck's record to 5-2 on the season. Offensively the Blacksnakes pounded out 13 hits with C Mikaela Dworken leading the way going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Five different Sioux City batters had one hit apiece to account for the all of the Explorers' offense in the losing effort.

Sioux Falls 8, Lincoln 3

Starting pitcher Tony Cogan went six strong innings, allowing just two runs on four hits to help Sioux Falls past Lincoln 8-3. The win improved Cogan's record to 6-2 on the season. Relief pitcher Matt Petrusek pitched the final three innings of the game to record his third save of the season. At the plate the Canaries were led by CF Anthony Monegan, who had three hits in the game. C Dennis Anderson added a homerun and two RBI of his own to the Canaries attack as well. LF Cory Harris and SS Pichi Balet each had a hit and drove in a run to lead Lincoln at the plate in the losing effort.
