LF Todd Self goes 2-for-4 with a run scored and 2 RBI to lead the Sports to the victory over the Diablos and extend their winning streak to seven games. Shreveport pounded out 13 hits in the game with each batter in the lineup getting at least one. Aaron Kirkland got the win in relief for the Sports pitching two shutout innings to even his record at 2-2. For the Diablos, they were led tonight by American Association Batter of the Week, 2B Jorge Alvarez, who went 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.

St. Paul 10, Sioux City 7

DH Nick Gretz went 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored and 4 RBI to lead St. Paul to a win over the X's. St. Paul scored three runs in the first inning and would never look back. 1B Victor Rodriguez had a 3-for-5 outing with a run scored and SS Brian Sprout would pitch in with four hits of his own along with an RBI. Saints' starter T.J. Stanton picked up his fifth win of the year going 6 2/3 innings allowing five runs, all earned, on four hits with three strikeouts. St. Paul reliever Matt Hammons picked up his league leading 13th save of the season. In the losing effort, Sioux City was led tonight by 3B Jake Daubert who went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

St. Joe 10, Lincoln 1 (7 Innings)

In a game shortened to seven innings due to rain, St. Joe would score three runs in each of the first three innings of the game and go on to an easy victory over the first half champion Saltdogs. 3B Ben Thomas led the way at the plate for St. Joe going 3-for-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. LF Terrell Merriman and SS Jimmy Mojica also added two hits and an RBI apiece to the Blacksnakes' offense. St. Joe starting pitcher Evan Thomas, who had a no-hitter going into the fifth inning, picked up his fourth win of the season allowing no runs on just one hit and collected four strikeouts. For Lincoln in the losing cause, SS Ryan Priddy got two hits in three at-bats along with an RBI.
