St. Paul starting pitcher Mitch Wylie retired the first 12 batters he faced, allowed just three hits in seven shutout innings to lead the Saints to an easy win at home. Wylie fanned seven and did not issue a walk en route to the victory, his sixth of the season. The St. Paul offense collected 14 hits in support of its starter, led by LF Josh Alley who was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and three RBI. Including Alley, five Saints hitters recorded multi-hit games. Lincoln LF Pichi Balet was the only Saltdogs batter to record more than one hit. He was 2-for-4.

Fort Worth 7, Shreveport-Bossier 4

Trailing 3-2 entering the top of the sixth inning, the Fort Worth Cats rallied for five runs to go up 7-3 and rolled from there to a 7-4 win. Cats CF Brian Fryer led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, a pair of runs scored and three RBI. Fort Worth starting pitcher Joel Kirsten picked up his seventh win of the season. He allowed three earned runs on six hits while striking out five in five innings of work. Cats reliever Gary Lee came on to close things out in the ninth inning, earning his sixth save.

Pensacola 10, Sioux City 9

The Pensacola Pelicans rallied for two runs in the ninth inning to erase a 9-8 deficit and come away with a win on the road. Pelicans C Lou Palmisano homered and drove in five runs to lead the way at the plate. Pensacola 1B Marcos Rodriguez also had a great game going 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and three RBI. Meanwhile, Sioux City out-hit the Pelicans 14-10, led by 1B Jason Colson, who was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a RBI. After Pensacola nabbed the lead in the top of the ninth, closer Hunter Davis had little trouble holding it in the bottom of the frame en route to his 15th save.
