In a pitchers' duel that was scoreless until the sixth inning, the Blasters eventually pulled away to clinch a series win against the RedHawks. LF Yasser Gomez hit an RBI single in the sixth to open the scoring, driving in SS Maikol Gonzalez. Joplin added to their lead in the eighth when DH Jake Taylor doubled in Gomez. C Juan Medina put on the finishing touches when he doubled home 2B Steve Tinoco and RF Jesus Solorzano in the ninth.
Gomez had a two-hit day to pace the Blasters. 1B Stefan Gartrell and RF Joe Dunigan each had doubles for Fargo-Moorhead.
RHP Jorge Martinez scattered four hits over six scoreless innings while striking out four to earn the win.
